Finally, My Steve McQueen Cardigan

 of course, the Great Man....

British Museum

I LOVE the British Museum. The Rick Steves' audio tour is fantastic as this is the second time listening to the tour...It traces three historic civilizations, The Egyptians, Assyrians and Greeks.

I like this look as you come upon the museum
 The Great Rotunda

 The mummies were wonderful

Back to London; The Radisson Blu Edwardian

Back to London...My Stay at the Radisson Blu Edwardian in Bloomsbury was just what I needed. The British Museum is right down the block, Russell Sq is a few blocks away and the West End is a nice 20 Minute walk. I really enjoy this area as it has theaters, cafe, restaurants and Starbucks.

The room a tad small but nice....

Guernsey Island

The flight was 15 minutes to Guernsey...took the bus to Hotel for a pound. The weather is really nice here today. I checked into the Yacht Inn. I had a 3 floor room. It was nice for about 70 bucks.
I did eat the best Fish and chips I ever had. Grilled sea bass, with grilled scallops and shtrimp. It was wonderful. The Mora restaurant was wonderful.
Flying out the next day, I know I wanted to see what was interesting. There was this Victor Hugo home and museum tour but unfortunently the times of the tour and my flight did not match up. I packed, took the bus for the hour flight to London.

Jersey Island

Ahh, the Tunnels....The short hop flight took less than an hour. I got off the plane looking for the lockers to store my bag while I took the island tour of the WW 2 Tunnels.
The Great Man eyeing my Panama, Don't even think about, Winnie!

Transnistria II

Transnistria

I had a great night and breakfast at The Radisson. My drive to Transnistria arrived promptly at 10am, The drive began with him having a fender bender as we were leaving Chisinau. It turned out go be a nothing burger. The drive took about an hour and a half. We went through customs without an issue.
After customs, we drove to the waiting area before the theatre where we met my guide.
The guide was a lovely, young woman named Victoria. She proceed for the next hour and. A half to walk we around to all the historic Soviet and Transnistria sites. Here are the photo highlights.

My Moldova

Independence Day, August 27! In Nice, I decided to visit and knock off Moldova and Transnistria.
The flight was no problem. My arrival in Chisinau was greeted with a bag that had a bottle of Champagne and whiskey as it was their Independence Day.  I attempted to take the bus into the city to the Radisson Blu hotel. I was the only English speaking person on the bus. I felt like everyone was looking at me like I was from another planet. I guess I was being from NYC.
